The Service Patrol Operator is a permanent, full-time position with the Department of Transportation. Positions are located in Birmingham, Mobile, Huntsville, Tuscaloosa and Montgomery. This is entry level work in the rehabilitation field of persons who are blind and persons with visual impairments. Employees in this class are responsible for developing and implementing plans of instruction and adjustment counseling in the areas of home management, independent living, and employment for persons with visual disabilities.
