With 27 years of experience, Departmental Personnel Specialist Charity Hallford knows the answer to just about every SPD question. Serving Examinations, the largest of SPD’s divisions, is no small task, but Charity is forthcoming with information and able to kindly assist employees and jobseekers alike.
Charity’s list of responsibilities is a mile long, but to summarize, she receives and processes direct appointment applications (such as State Professional Trainee), assists with multiple other classifications, and acts as support for Exams & Certifications Manager Julie Carden.
“Charity has extensive knowledge of both the Exams and Certifications divisions and is often the go-to person for questions, because chances are she will know the answer,” said Julie. “She is such an asset to this department, and we are very fortunate to have her as part of our team.”
“The best way to learn is to ask questions,” said Charity, giving advice to both employees within the division and generally to employees within the state.
“Our staff as a whole works well together,” said Charity, shouting out their hard work and expressing fondness for everyone in the division. A combination of organization and dedication keeps everyone running optimally. Charity makes such a monumental accomplishment seem easy, and SPD is thankful for her knowledge and expertise.
